Web 2.0 Expo thoughts
Tuesday, April 17th, 2007I don’t have the time to string together more than a few sentences, but here are a couple of neat things that I’ve collected over the past couple days at Web 2.0 Expo.
Some people are pronouncing www as dub-dub-dub. Three syllables instead of nine, I like it.
While I’ve been pronouncing 2.0 as “two point oh” Tim O’Reilly pronounces it “two dot oh.”
Someone on stage at the keynote on Monday said “Google is the oxygen now.” Someone behind us replied to his neighbor, “remind me to become a fish.”
I almost got a picture of Jeff Bezos’ browser setup, or at least the computer he was using for his presentation. He’s running Firefox with A9 (Amazon’s search engine) as his default search engine. He has the del.icio.us extension installed and one other button that I don’t recognize.
Thanks to the magic of tagging, you can see all the content everyone is producing at the conference. Blog posts are at Technorati and pictures are on Flickr, tagged as web2expo or web2expo07 (if you just tack a “07″ on the end of the two links above, you’ll get those too)
