Life in New Rochelle
Day two is drawing to a close, bookended by contact with the household. I “had breakfast” over speakerphone with the women 7:05-7:15 AM, which was closed with the laughter and “Good Morning”s of the men coming in for morning prayer. It made my day.
Yesterday I had two extended conversations with a woman from California about the People of Praise. She had grown up in a charismatic church that had split up due to scandal. I sat down with her for breakfast, and within five minutes had told her about my household and the People of Praise. She was really intrigued, and asked a lot of questions. She came to sit with me for dinner, and led the conversation back to the People of Praise again, and asked some really good questions, like “What’s prophecy like in your community?”
There’s a woman on my hall at the dorm (which looks a lot like a Le Mans Hall at SMC) who is really kind and eager to talk. She’s in the 3y.-6y. program, so I don’t actually have classes with her.
There are 4 or 6 concurrent programs going on, depending on how you’re counting (No, it’s not Montessorian to equate 4 and 6
) There’s an infant & toddler program, a 3-6 program, a 6-9 I, 9-12I and 6-9II and 9-12II. 6-9 takes two summers (thus the I and II), and 9-12 is identical to 6-9 except that they have to stay an extra four weeks the second summer.
Still don’t have my laptop configured, and the library just turned the lights out!

Next up, your hologram makes an appearance on the 100 block of Greenlawn Avenue. P.S. you’re on dishes tonight.
